Description

Chaos has erupted in the White City. Humanity has been obliterated through the betrayal of the Horseman War and demons have now ravaged the once beautiful Earth for a full century.

Shortly before news of Humanity's demise reached Shamayim--beautiful mirror of Earth known as the First Heaven--its guardian and ruler Gabriel goes missing, along with her daughter and first born Saharian. Left behind are four sons and a young daughter with no idea of what happened: Jibril, the oldest son, Zebulun, Ashlesha, Nathaniel, and the younger daughter Deva.

Recently, heralds from the Throne announced that the Council had allowed the errant Horseman to find the true destroyers of the Balance. Still the gates of the White City remained sealed off when the warning of an imminent demon invasion reached the Court. No one gets in; no one gets out.

While his siblings worked throughout the century of unrest to restore order and calm to the realm, Ashlesha scours through their mother's home in an effort to find clues of her whereabouts. He eventually discovers an underground spiral stairway under his mother's bedroom, leading to an eons-old nexus of arcane portals. Though each was inscribed with their target destination--Ashlesha spied two particular portals, one leading to Hell and one leading to an unknown realm--only one portal had remained active since Gabriel's disappearance: a darkened portal marked, "The Abyss". It was then apparent where she could have gone.

His mind set, Ashlesha goes to his siblings with his findings, and then to his wife, Ysrah. He explains to he what he must do and the duty he must uphold to his mother and the people of Shamayim. Ysrah understands the feelings of her husband's heart, and sees him off in a tearful goodbye. She makes him promise to come home alive and well.

On his journey through the desolate wastes of the Abyss, Ashlesha comes across a curious scene: his lost sister Saharian vehemently arguing with what appeared to be the Rider of Death, standing tall next to her and carrying an amused, lax expression on his skull mask. Ashlesha couldn't believe what he was seeing...

I wrote so much back story for this, but I accidentally hit the back button and lost about 6 paragraphs of info T_T

I love to sketch again! I figured I'd throw my hand into creating a male OC for the world of Darksiders. This sketch is also a practice for me in drawing hands and a male face, and trying out a new hairstyle (got to love Skrillex's hair!). I dunno, I might do more of these.
